According to incomplete statistics from the Magnesium Branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, China's primary magnesium production in December 2025 reached 124,700 tons, marking a 25.5% month-on-month increase and a 30.2% year-on-year rise.
From January to December 2025, China's original magnesium production was approximately 1.0421 million tons (final figures subject to the Development Report), marking a year-on-year increase of 1.59%. Among this, Shaanxi Province produced around 685,200 tons, up 7.57% year-on-year; Shanxi Province produced about 187,600 tons, down 1.37%; Inner Mongolia produced approximately 37,800 tons, down 1.56%; Xinjiang produced around 58,900 tons, up 11.55%; and other regions produced about 72,700 tons.
